Lynnie began her love for ballet at the age of 6, when her mother took her to see her first "Nutcracker". As a student, she studied with some of the most prestigious ballet schools in the country and abroad, including: American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet and The Harkness House of Ballet. As a professional, she danced with the joffrey Ballet in New York City and guest danced with several other companies across the US. Lynnie began teaching ballet in 1980. She was Artistic Director of the Lafayette Ballet Theatre from 1982-1994. She currently teaches in Lafayette, Carencro, Franklin and of course, Abbeville. She has attended numerous teacher's workshops across the country and in the summer of 2010, gave her first comprehensive workshop hosted by Dance Connection. Lynnie is also; a nurse, an attorney, a buisness owner and a college professor, but as she will often remind her students, ballet is and always will be her first love.
